Day 13 – Friday the Thirteenth
Class was uneventful enough not to be blogged about. =P Or maybe I just forget because I barely made it there and barely made it through till 1pm. =P Note to self: If I can help it, don’t go out on a school night unless I really have to. =P
Today was not a bad luck day. Adolfo explained that in Spain, their “Friday the Thirteenth” is “Tuesday the Thirteenth.” So, we were safe then. =P
Today was Julie’s birthday, so we all planned to go out. We ate by the River Genil in a disappointing restaurant. I ordered two sides because they didn’t have anything that appeared interesting. I had Salmon and Spanish Omelette. The Salmon was not cooked and was difficult to consume. I gave the other piece to Shannon. We had strong, delicious Sangria for drinks. We then proceeded to go back to the center. Breanna wore painful shoes and wanted to change. As I wanted to do the same thing, we went back together and changed shoes. We then met up with everyone back in the center and we all went to an American friendly bar named Dolce Vita. After that, we all went to Sacromonte somewhere in Albaicin to a discotheque named El Camborio. The first level was made of caves, the second level was an open air balcony, the third, where the dance floor was had see-through walls and had the magnificent Alhambra as its backdrop. It was a beautiful sight. We were the first ones there at 1:30am. I don’t think I’ll ever get accustomed to Spanish time. People didn’t start coming until 2-3am. We all finally went home around 6:00am. It was daylight. =P This is for all the tame days I had in college. =P
